Tomokazu Matsuyama at Meiji Jingu Forest Festival of Art
The Meiji Shrine in Tokyo is one of the most important shrines and temples in Japan, It is surrounded by a 700,000 square meter of forest. At the occasion of the Meiji Jingu Forest Festival of Art, four Japanese artists were invited to create outdoor sculptures to be placed in the sacred forest. In the idyllic setting of the Meiji Jingu Forest, Tomokazu Matsuyama created a sculpture inspired by Shintoism that highlights the character of man and nature.
